Thanks to stiff compition among the cell phone compnaies and Telecome Regulatory Authority(TRAI) for setting up the affordable mobile communication.
You can get a hand set + 1 year free incoming call facility on 30USD for whole one year. This made life of Muthu much more product. Now he takes order request on phone from his loyal customers and deliver directly to them at home. Customer is Happy that they are getting fresh vegetables produces and Muthu is having growing sales as well as saving time. Now Muthu is able to achieve his sales targets by 3.00PM in the evening and he spents rest of his time to manage his shop at footpath. This is allowing Muthu to start thinking about starting the Fruit selling too and allowing him to expand his bussiness.

Now Muthu is saving some more Money which helps him to cut the daily loan and spend some money from his pocket. You shall note here that Muthu is saving 15%/ROI/Day which he still pays to the Vegetable market money lender to buy his daily stock of Vegetables.

You must be wondering "Niranjan, where does Cell Phone comes into the pipcture?". See it is not Cell Phone it is affordability of the cell phone and free usage of it to recieve a call. You can recieve a call on cell phone 24x7 free. This is the basic policy enforced by TRAI. This is contray to contract model and all airtime charge model pervasive in United States. Then promotions running from Cell companies like all calls within a circle, with in GSM, CDMA loop are free. Part-1 : How Internet will Change the Game in Rural India

Sometime back I read the book by Thomas Fridman "The World is Flat" and provoked me to analyse the impact of information technology on a common mans life.

Its is a well written and proven fact that tele-communication alone has contributed ~15% in the growth of India GDP. A common man is connected with rest the  nodes in his life who makes the impact in his personal and work life. This empowered him to make quick decisions and reuse the blank spaces of his time during the day and night and be more productive.

Muthu  is a sabji wala who is selling vegetables in Bangalore from last 15 years. Muthus day starts at 4.00AM when he rides a bus to catch for K.R. Market( A whole sale vegetable market place). He reaches KR Market by 5.00 and borrow the money on 15%/day ROI to purchase the vegetable. Before this he has to settle the account for yesterdays borrowing. This does not leave much of amount in Muthus hand to make himself a business owner. There are numerous middleman in vegetable market who earn much more than Muthus just by trading between Muthu, people like him and vegetable farmers. So now Muthu picks up his lots of various Vegetables and rides the BMTC bus for Whitefield. Now Muthu gets at his place and wash and assemble the vegetables in saleable form to sell it to  his customer on his cart as well as at his shop near a foorpath. His ife manages shop at foorpath and he sell vegetable on cart. He has to go around the whole A.E.C.S Layout to get his daily sale targets. However, this pretty much drains Muthus energy to left him with nothing to do in late evening except drink some "Daru" from a desi "Daru" shop.

Muthu end his day by counting the cash from all the sale Cart and footpath shop and realise that he just made enogu to survive for the day. This is the route of Muthu's life with 4 kids.

The Dream - Gurubaksh Chahal

Today I read this great inspiring book "The Dream by Gurubaksh Chahal". I must tell you that the story looks very inspiring and validate my fundamental value about believing yourself. This is a story of a medium class dream and opportunity this land of United States of America offers.

As Barak Obama say..Its The Promise of American Dream

It is a validation of middle class dream and how younger generation changing the land scape via entrepreneurship. Here are some lessons from the book:
  1. Listen to Your Heart. We tend to do well at things we love, so find something you love or learn to love what you are doing.
  2. Forget Nobel Motivations. Success comes from wanting to win, so you have got to want it bad. You need that killer instinct. At the end of the day, no matter what they say, it is not about how play the game but about WINNING. Winning is not everything it is the ONLY thing.
  3. Adjust Your Attitude. Without the right attitude, you will never succeed. You have to believe in yourself, often to the point of madness, because you prove yourself the only people who believe in yourself is your Mom and Dad(if you are lucky). If you have any doubt get out now.
  4. Figure Out What Your're Good At. Very few of us are gifted, so we need to work with the gifts we have. If you are five-foot-two and you love basket ball, let me be the first to tell you. Its probably not going to happen. But do not let me stop you.
  5. Trust Your Gut . We are complicated creatures. That inexplicable feeling you get sometimes - well it tends to be right a lot more often than it is wrong. Try not to over analyze it. Some mysterious Inner You is trying to help by pointing you in the right direction.
  6. Do Your Homework. Before you start anything, make sure you know exactly what you are getting into. Ignorance is dangerous. What you do not know can and will hurt you.
  7. Be Frugal. The only person you need to impress is yourself and you will be impressed by the success not by the a sleek office with Aramani couches. It boils down to need v/s luxury and a fancy office is not going to improve your performance.
  8. When it comes to staffing your company, however, do not be frugal. Find the right people for the right jobs and pay them what they are worth. We all love and need rock stars.
  9. Hire the Smartest People You can Find. Smart people make beautiful music together. Lots of smart people working in unison can have the force and power of a Beethoven symphony.
  10. Do not expect Perfection from yourself and others but never stop striving for it and try to inspire others to strive for it too.
  11. Learn to Listen. Everyone has an opinion and everyone is entitled yo an option and even wrong headed opinions can open your eyes yo things you might otherwise have missed. So listen, even to people you disagree with and maybe to them more than the others. then process what you have heard and have the courage of your convictions.
  12. Own Your Mistakes. At the end of the day every decision you make, even if it was inspired by misguided advice, is your decision. Nobody wins when you start looking for someone to blame. Let it go. Keep moving. Forward movement is everything.
  13. Never Compromise Your Morality. We all need to live by a moral code.
  14. Never Lose Sight of the Competition. While you are playing, someone else is working and catching up, so learn to play with one eye on the competition. You are not going to be on top forever.
  15. Watch your back. Somebody should make a T-shirt that says "For Every Back There is a Knife"
  16. Do not Procrastinate. Procrastinate is just another word for wanting to fail. If you are not hungry enough, if you are too lazy to move forward, you are never going to get any where.
  17. Do not do anything by half-measure. Remember: Mediocrity is for losers.
  18. "Be nice to the people on the way up because you will probably meet them on the way down."
  19. Always negotiate from a position of strength. If you need something from the other guy, you have already lost. People want what they can not have. Become the thing people want.
  20. Expect the Unexpected. If you are ready for anything, you will still be unpleasantly surprised but at least you will get through it.
  21. Remember: Perception is Reality. what they see is more important than what is, so show them what they want to see and tell them what they want to hear.
  22. Do not get emotional. Logic and Emotions do not get mix.
  23. Be Fearless. The road to success is paved with failures. If you are afraid to fail, you will never succeed.
  24. Pick your Battles. The fighting never really ends. Do not let the meaningless skirmishes sap your strength. You are in this to win the war.
  25. Grow a Thick Skin - Very thick skin. People will question your ability to succeed and loudest among them might make you doubt your own talents, so you will need a thick skin to drown out the noise. The silence will help you focus on your objective and you will prevail.
  26. Take Chances. Without risk, there is no reward. But make sure its intelligent risk. Only fool bets against Tiger Woods.
  27. When you Commit, you really have to commit. Become unstoppable. And do not quit. "A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step"
This is really incredible pointers. Most of them has their root in Indian philosophy of Karm Yog.

I am impressed.

Well Done G and Good Luck....
